Welcome to The Travel Cafe (www.thetravelcafe.in). By accessing our website or booking a tour package, transportation, or accommodation with us, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Bookings and Payments

• A booking is only confirmed once an advance payment is received and a confirmation receipt or email is issued by our team.

• The standard advance payment required varies by package. The remaining balance must be paid prior to the start of the trip or upon arrival, as specified in your booking confirmation.

• Quotes provided are subject to availability and may change until the booking is finalized.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellation requests must be submitted to us in writing via email or WhatsApp.

• Cancellation charges will apply based on the proximity to the travel date. Specific cancellation policies for individual properties (including Kyna Backwater Resort) or third-party operators (like houseboats or partner hotels) will apply.

• Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a standard timeframe of 7 to 14 business days.

3. Itinerary Changes & Flexibility

• We reserve the right to modify or alter travel itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, political strikes, or road closures.

• In such events, we will make every effort to provide suitable alternative arrangements, but we cannot be held liable for any resulting financial loss or delay.

4. Travel Documents and Insurance

• It is the guest’s responsibility to carry valid government-issued photo identification (such as an Aadhar Card, Passport, or Voter ID) for check-ins at hotels and resorts.

• We highly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, or lost luggage.

5. Limitation of Liability

• The Travel Cafe acts as a direct operator for certain properties and as an agent for third-party services (such as select transportation, partner hotels, and activities).

• We are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, loss, or delay caused by the actions, negligence, or defaults of any third-party vendors.

6. Governing Law

• These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala.
